In 2016, US & World News ranked Crested Butte #12 out of 468 high schools in Colorado and #473 out of more than 2,500 high schools in the United States. If those stats aren’t compelling enough, the Crested Butte Community School is a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics or STEM school. This gives students the tools they need to succeed in the dynamic and ever-changing world we live in today. Students can get the attention they need in this small school atmosphere, as the school has a 15:1 student-to-teacher ratio.
Property and homes in the Town of Crested Butte are in high demand and values in the immediate area are high. But, as you move south of town, there are many new and growing neighborhoods such as Skyland, located on the Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course. The Buckhorn Ranch neighborhood has a private paved runway for exclusive fly-in/fly-out access, in addition to common equestrian facilities, fly-fishing areas, and more. Crested Butte South, a neighborhood located 10 miles south of the town is an attractive neighborhood for families and has growing commercial opportunities.
