Mt. Crested Butte is the headquarters for Crested Butte Mountain Resort and has a blend of larger ski in ski out homes, ski and mountain condos and smaller family homes. The City of Gunnison is the largest city within Gunnison County. Gunnison is the proud home to Western State Colorado University which has recently become an accredited 4-year university. The City of Gunnison has just under 6,000 year round residents and a vast amount of recreational opportunities close by.
Almont and Taylor Canyon are home of the Taylor river, which has some of the best fly fishing in the state of Colorado. Almont, Colorado is located on Highway 135 in between Crested Butte and Gunnison. It is on the confluence of the East River and Taylor River which forms to become the Gunnison River.
